Above The Cut section shall screen First Feature Films of Directors which could not be accommodated in the International Competition for the First Films of Directors.  Among the entries received for the International Competition, the Festival programming committee chooses the best 14 films for the Competition. From the remaining entries, the most impressive films are selected for the non-competitive section called Above The Cut.
