About the Workshop:
A three day workshop, to be held from the 11th to the 13th of October 2011, the Indo German Script development workshop is organized by the Mumbai Academy of Moving Image and Life Entertainment, Germany in association with “Germany and India 2011-2012- Infinite Opportunities”, Goethe Institute, PRIMEHOUSE, dffb, HFF and SKW Schwarz
Mr. Shyam Benegal will deliver the key note address. Consulate General of Germany in Mumbai, Mr. Theo Heldman will be the Chief Guest at the Inaugural session of the Workshop The three day workshop will include discussions by eminent global and Indian speakers including the renowned director; Dani Levy, known for his numerous films, including ‘My Fuhrer’ and ‘Go for Zucker’ , Screenwriter and Director : Sooni Taraporavela’s, Screenwriter; Anjum Rajabali, screenwriter and Writer and Director; Thorsten Schulz amongst others A case study will also be presented at the workshop, on how collaboration between Indian and German Writers and Directors might work. The intensive workshops will be held from 10 AM till 8:30 PM for the three consecutive days.

Eligibility criteria:
Due to the limited number of seats (80), the workshop is only open to Screenwriters, Directors and Producers who have completed either one film or are in the process of completing their first film.
Film Students either enrolled in Scriptwriting or Direction at a recognized institution may also apply for the workshop. Should the eligibility criteria be met, seats will be allotted on a first come first serve basis upon registration and payment of the workshop fee of Rs 3000. |
