S. Santhanam

S. Santhanam worked as the deputy director in the Directorate of Film Festivals, organizers of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) from 1994 to 2008. He was independently responsible for programming of the festival during 2003-2007. He has widely travelled and attended film festivals all over the world notably at Cannes, Berlin, Tokyo, Melbourne, Vancouver, Fribourg, Rotterdam, Damascus, Brisbane, Singapore, Hong Kong, Montreal, Bangkok, Munich and Karlovy Vary.

A graduate from the Film and Television Institute of Tamil Nadu (FTITN), Santhanam has also worked with India’s national broadcaster Doordarshan and the Government of India’s Films Division.
